Best Christmas Gift Ever!!!

Andrew's call was the best gift ever!  It was so good to hear his voice and see that amazing and infectious smile.  The highlight of the call was when Andrew burst into laughter when his brothers were all speaking Spanish to him.  We asked him what was so funny and he said he can finally understand what they are saying!  I am sure he finally felt like one of the guys since they have kept him in the dark for years:)

Andrew's love for the people he is serving is apparent and his testimony of the gospel continues to grow.  WE LOVE OUR MISSIONARY!

Merry Christmas

Feliz Navidad Familia!!!!

Well shoot, my dudes, my mind is blown that it is Christmas already!!! You have no idea how pumped I am to call tomorrow! It is gonna be the best thing ever. I think tomorrow when we get together with the other Elders at the bishops house, we're gonna make cookies and stuff which is will be a little taste of home! I'm super excited though.  It's gonna be so good to talk to people who are just regular Americans hahaha. Tonight for Christmas eve we are going go to an hermanas house and play games and do a little family home evening which will be super fun.

This last week was the most productive week so far in the mish!  We had 4 BAPTISMS!!! We found this family who are relatives to the Elders quorum president.  We were able to teach them and baptize them in a week! They had all gone to church a few times already so it was super easy to get it all figured out. The Hermana who we baptized se llama Marcela and her sons are named Daniel, Miguel, y Damian. Super cool family and they think I'm the coolest person ever because I'm white and speak English hahahah  Then we went and played soccer with them the other day and they acted like I was freaking Donovan Mitchell (Yeehaw baby) when I dunked it! lolol Super awesome family though and I think they're gonna progress super fast in the church! Damian nos dijo que he wants to go on a mission already so let's see about that haha!

We had the ward Christmas party on Wednesday and wow it was a little different than the parties back home hahaha. It was full of a million little mexis dancing to Feliz Navidad and a bunch of piñatas! So much fun I'm not gonna lie and it's always a golden opportunity to get to know the members and more importantly nonmember friends!

Pues espero que ustedes tengan un Feliz Navidad y disfruten este tiempo con sus familias!! Les amo un buen

Feliz Navidaddy my dudes!!!

This week was probably the most exciting week in a long time! hahaha We didn't end up having any baptisms but this next week we should have 4!!! It's gonna be so awesome. We found this family who is familia de the president of the elders quorum here in the ward! It is an Hermana named Marcala and her 3 kids Daniel, Miguel, y Damian. They are super excited and when they're excited it makes everything so much easier and super fun on the mish! We'll see what happens with them this week.  Hopefully everything goes well. This last week it rained  balls which makes it rough to work sometimes. As I've said before, you gotta do what you gotta do! Here you either walk in the heat of the devils anus or it pours like balls all day. hahaha It's ok though because we're getting stuff done!

Friday we had our Zone Conference in Zapata which is about 3 hours away from Frontera. It was quite the experience let me tell ya hahahaha. We had to go and sleep in the house of some other elders and I was expecting it just to be like us and them.  When we showed up there were 12 of us and 2 beds!!! Long story short we went to bed at like 2 am and I slept on a tile floor hahahaha! It was super fun being with other elders though! Then at zone conference we had a such a fun time! We just played games and read Luke 2 and stuff. It was dope! They want us to try to read that with our investigators which I think is an awesome thing because what better way to remember Christ than reading about his Birth!!! On top of that, we had burgers and CHEESECAKE!!!!!!  Anyone who's me, knows I freaking love cheesecake! hahahaha I also picked up my christmas packages! I have to say, I LOVE MY FAMILY! hahaha  I am stacked with stuff now and am so pumped! I started handing out some of the pop rock candies  you sent and everyone thinks it's awesome because it's "American Candy" hahahaha. THANK YOU so much Familia!  I love you guys! Also, my boy Nate hooked me up with maybe the best gift I've ever gotten! I love the mug hahahhahahaha  I laugh every time I drink out of it. Love you Nay!

This Sunday I finally got to try the famous food from Tobasco!!! It's a fish se llama Pejelagarto and it is freaking weird looking. It tasted so good! It was quite the experience though. Then today we went to a members house who lives on the beach and played soccer and everything it was dope! Nothing like chillin with my toes in the sand hahaha. I can't believe it's already Christmas! I'm so pumped to call home! It is gonna be the best day eve!r hahahah  I know I still have another week though so hopefully it's a good one and everything goes smooth. Hope everyone has an awesome week!

I love you all!! Adioooos

Week 19. . . Raining for Days in Frontera!

How are my fans doing this week?

This week has been so different than the last 3 months here in Frontera! hahaha Being here with my new comp Elder Vasquez has been interesting I can tell you that. He really likes comic books and naps. hahahaha He's a pretty cool guy though! This week I've seen my spanish improve more than it did in my first 2 cambios combined. It's so weird something just like clicked and now I know everything everyone says  and it is super easy to talk to people now. hahaha Talk about the gift of tongues right there. This last week we were trying to find some more people to teach.  Let me tell you it was pretty annoying. There were a couple days that we had citas set for the entire day until like 9 and then absolutely no one was home lol. One day we finished super early and didn't know what to do so we went to a members house. They told us that the next couple of weeks are going to be hard to find and teach people. Everyone is partying or no one is home. It's crazy, like every night there is a ginormous crowd following the Virgin Guadalupe down the street. hahaha  That's not the best thing for missionary work hahaha. No worries, that only happened for about 2 days and then we found some awesome people! One of our investigators right now is named Alexis and he is a freaking awesome kid. I would call him a "golden investigator" hahaha He loves reading the Book of Mormon and learning more and more. He thinks the church is the coolest thing ever! He will probably be baptized next week which will be sick!

It has rained everyday this week which has made walking around not that fun but you gotta do what you gotta do! I think I'm just gonna throw away my paraguas because it doesn't help at all with the rain. The rain goes completely sideways so it's pointless! hahaha

I had to speak in church yesterday for the first time and I was suuuper nervous at first because I'm not one for talks. hahaha  The Bishop asked us to just speak on the obra misional which is such an easy topic because that's what we do every freaking day.  I thought it went pretty dang good and a bunch of members came up and told me like "Wow it's so nice that you can actually speak now" hahahaha  Andrew-1 Mexicans-0.

Something really funny this week- We were down by the river looking at the sunset and everything and this wasted guy came up right next to us and whips it out and starts taking a pee right by us hahahaha. We were just standing there and he said "No manches guay el sol es bien grande" hahahahaha  I always love talking to drunk guys! hahaha. They make no sense at all.

Well. that's all I've got. This week we have zone conference which should be dope because of Christmas. So pumped only like two more weeks to call home!

Love you all and have a good week!

Week 18 . . . Lighting the World in Mexico

What up!!!

How is everyone doing back home? It has been a pretty dang exciting week here in Mexico. We had cambios today and I have a new comp here in Frontera! His name is Elder Vasques from Peru. He seems like a pretty cool guy and I'm just super pumped because my Spanish will improve a ton. I already know it. My old comp Elder Albrecht went to be a Zone Leader in Balancan which is about 3 hours from here. It's going to be a great cambio to have Christmas! I can't believe Christmas is almost here! It is going to be awesome! I have to say that I'm so ready to call home! hahaha The ward here in Frontera should be an awesome place to spend the Holidays. I just can't believe it's December already and I've been out 4 Months now!

This past week we had a baptism too! We baptized a boy named Kevin who is a total champ. His family are all members but they became less active and we have been working to reactivate them. They've been coming to church a bunch lately so it's been dope! Albrecht did the baptism and it was awesome. The family was soooo happy which makes all the long days worth it!

We went to the Church last night to watch the Christmas devotional with the First Presidency.  It was awesome to hear about the true meaning of Christmas. President Nelson talked about how we need to love as he loved and continue growing closer to Christ. Lately we've been doing the Light the World campaign and it has been amazing so far.  Everyone who has watched the videos almost starts crying. hahahaha Talk about some strong stuff right there! Light the World is something that can make us think of others and grow our own testimonies as well as others.

Hoping I can have another fun cambio here in Frontera and that we can have some success too! So excited to see what Vasques and I can do. We're going to have a dang good time over Christmas even though it's still a million degrees here hahaha. Hoping everyone has an awesome week!

Love you all.
