Como estan beaches?!!
Today we went to the beach for p-day with a family that lives here in Frontera! I’ve never wanted to swim more in my life because let me tell you it was a million degrees! hahahah Don’t worry we didn’t though! I’m pretty sure it was 106 today without humidity. Soooo let’s just say it was roasting weenies weather! hahaha That’s one thing I will never get used too. I think this last week was my favorite so far in the mish. The first couple days last week were pretty dang slow but towards the end it was flying!! We started teaching a few new people who are all super interested in the church and there is a good chance that we are going to have around 4 or more baptisms in the next monthish! There is a kid named Kevin who has 10 years that we met. In the first 20 minutes that we were talking to him he was telling us that he wanted to be baptized!! It’s honestly so crazy how fast and strong the spirit works. I never thought someone could know that fast! We also started teaching this kid named Irven who is 17 years old and he is such an awesome guy. He is the nephew of our obispo here in Frontera and he told us that he has been waiting for the opportunity to talk with missionaries for months and months. He lives about an hour away from here but in the absolute jungle. We aren’t allowed to travel there but he said that he wants to take all of the lessons and be baptized. He's going to come here every weekend to talk to us and take the lessons. Then he said he want’s to be baptized in a few weeks! I know it doesn’t sound like much but he is making huge sacrifices just to come here each week. Especially when you don’t have any money and live so far away. Those sacrifices are so much bigger than I ever could have even imagined. It’s crazy what people will do when they feel something so strong and know they want something better in their life. I really can’t wait to meet with him again! He is so awesome! Other than the new investigators and going to the beach, there isn’t much that happened this week. We walked around a ton, again! hahahah I just can’t believe I’m almost done with my first cambio in the field!! I am really excited to see what happens this next week. There is a chance that Albrecht may get transferred and I get a new comp, which would help my Spanish a ton. We have a lot going for us this next cambio and it would be awesome to finish it out with my comp! Whatever the Lord has in store though. hahaha. Well, I love you all! ADIOS.
