Called To Serve
July 2018 - July 2020
What's up familia?! Holy guacamole! I can't believe my first cambio in the field is over already!! I can already tell how much I've learned and grown already. It really is incredible! Who knew you could learn stuff in Mexico hahahahah. First things first... I ended up staying with my comp Albrecht here in Frontera which I'm super pumped about because he's an awesome guy and there is a ton that I have yet to learn from him. So hoping this next cambio is as good as the last! Well. this last week was pretty dang awesome if i do say so myself. It rained more than I've ever seen in my entire life this week so it was pretty tough to go out and work some days but you gotta do what you gotta do! This last Friday I legit was scared for my life when it was raining hahaha I got some vides. It was unreal! We were on the complete opposite side of Frontera when it started raining and in the matter of 20 seconds it was DUMPING! Water up to our knees in the streets it was crazy!! If the water is up to our knees then it's to everyone else's hips because everyone here is 4 feet tall. hahaha I have yet to meet someone here that is taller than me. hahaha We had to walk about 2 miles in this freaking hurricane and I have to say - it sucked! It was actually pretty exciting! Quite the experience though, I can tell you that! We've been finding a bunch of new people to teach and as of right now we have 8 baptisms planned for this cambio! About 3 of them are for sure and the others just need to come to church. They all love the gospel and believe but I hate to say it but they're just lazy about going to church! hahaha I think it will work out though and that would be totally awesome to have these baptisms in this next cambio!!! Today we went to Villa to see all of the other missionaries who had cambios and it was dope to see everyone! It's really crazy how fast you can make friends with people out here. hahaha. We went to the offices and I saw Elder Cottrell from Kaysville!!! He graduated from Davis like 2 years ago and i actually met him a few times before he left for the mish. hahahah It is so crazy how small the world is, am I right?!! President Haws told us all a quote from Elder Uchtdorf is his email this week and is was "Darkness will not gain victory over the light of Christ." There is nothing dark enough to overtake Christ's amor and charity and I really have seen that here. Let's see what this week brings! Love you all!
