Howdy folks!

How's it going back our there across the world? It's hot as balls here like always but what can you do? Sometime I think I'm getting used to it but then I walk outside and I'm completely wet in the space of 3 minutes. hahaha Just part of the experience though! I'm just glad I'm in the offices right now because we have the freshest air there is--AC.

This week was pretty dang awesome for the work in our area. You know a little while ago when I was talking about the group of teenage girls that we were teaching? Well it was quite the story for them this week. First off we had left them for like 2 weeks because they didn't have any permiso to go to church and there wasn't anything that we could do for them. Last Sunday we just had this feeling that we should go to their house and visit them even though we really didn't want to. So we went on Tuesday and found them just chillin outside and then two of them said that they had really missed us the last couple weeks and that they wanted us to start coming again. We were like ah dope they really want us to come! Then we remembered we didn't have permiso. BUT. Then we just thought, "Are we boys or are we men?!" and we went straight up to their dad and asked for permission and he said YES! Super dope and the girls were way pumped. Then the next day we went with them and they were acting super weird. So we were like what the heck do we do now? So we went to their cousins (who we were also teaching but didn't have permiso) and asked what was up and it was super weird. We were talking to them and were like ok well do you all want to go to church with us this week?  They said that they couldn't because their mom was sick, so we looked in the house and sure enough she looked dead on the couch. BUT. We used our secret power (aka the priesthood) and gave her a blessing and then after she gave them all permission and she wants them to go to church with us this Sunday!!! So it was a pretty dang cool experience with them I have to say.

Honestly this next week is going to be the busiest week ever. hahaha It's week one of the cambio so we have the new people coming in and the oldies going out and it just gets soooo freaking hectic. We're hoping to have some success either way! Hoping it's a fun week though. Sorry that's all  I've got but I've got a haul out.

Love you all and hope you have a fun week!!!!

Week 40 . . . Happy Mother's Day!!!

First off, Happy Mother's Day to all of the amazing Mom's out there.  I wouldn't be here with out mine and either would all of you. hahaha Hope you all have an amazing day!

Well, I successfully discovered Mayan ruins today. Their were already some people that named it but I think I'm gonna name it "Big Rocks". Lol We went to Palenque it was so freaking cool!! It was awesome to go down in the middle of this jungle place and find these giant pyramids. There were even other white people there! The first white people that I've seen that aren't missionaries hahaha. Today when we left to go to Palenque we had to wake up at 4 am to make the bus but then the dumb assistants didn't even show up until like an hour after! So we got there late but it's ok. It's about a 2 hour bus ride and then we were right in the thick of it boys. We got to see the big pyramids and the tombs of the people and all of the carvings and everything! There were horses and a man on fire and I killed a guy with a trident. It was probably the coolest thing I've done in a really long time. The only bad thing was that today it was 100° with 61% humidity, felt like 124 FREAKING DEGREES!!!!! That is so dang hot!!! hahahaha So needless to say I was sweating bullets. So cool though and I took some beautiful pictures.

This week was better for working in our area. We didn't have much time but we're hoping we can get in good with some of these people and dunk them! We met this one family and they were probably the nicest people I've ever met. hahaha They just invited us in to get us out of the heat and then were like,"so what is this message that you nice fellows share?" We taught them and stuck a nice fecha with them so lets see if they can progress this week! The hard thing is that everyone is so dang busy. When we have time, they don't. but alli vamos!!!

So my comp is turning me into a mega nerd. He is teaching me how to write in the star wars language. hahahaha I have to admit I feel like I'm a 12 year old weenie but we can pass notes and no one knows what we're saying!! Don't judge me people, I'm taking advantage of the extra time I have here in the offices!

Well I love you all and I hope you have a good week!  HAPPY MOTHERS DAY again to all the mamás out there and especially mine!   I love you, Adioooooo

Week 39 . . . It's heating up in Villahermosa!

Hola amigos!

Well, it was another week here in the offices and it is honestly flying by down here! I completed 9 months this week and my mind is just about blown. I can't believe how fast it goes! I still have like 15 months left but I don't care, it's going great! This week was honestly a week of rebuilding for Rasmussen and I. Practically all of our people we are teaching fell so we have just been searching up a storm! We found a bunch of really good people that I think will progress super well. It's so dang hard to have success in our area right now because we're starting over and we have barely any time to search! We're doing the best we can and the Lord is with us every step of the way!

Right now the Feria de Tabasco is going on here in Villa so there are a billion freaking personas! If we have time we are allowed to go check it out really quick because it's in our area but we'll see what happens. They just have a bunch of little stores and shows and stuff which could be super cool to see! Also, because it's in our area it really blows for working because there are always events going on and no one is home. It's crazy here one thing happens and everyone drops everything to see it! They don't go to school or work. They just party and get wasted. I mean, I am living in Mexico right? Pretty much just like any normal day hahaha.

Sorry it's short but I legit did nothing outside of work in the office and walk around and sweat hahaha! I love you all!!!

Les quiero mucho,
Elder Guapo
