Called To Serve
July 2018 - July 2020
It's been a pretty crazy week I’m not gonna lie. First off, I’m finally not sick anymore but I've lost about 13 pounds since I got to the CCM hahaha. Other than that it's been pretty normal! Well not quite so normal hahaha my comp is a freaking weenie it sucks. This week he was complaining more than I've ever heard anyone in my life and he got so mad during class that he started yelling at our teacher and told her that he hated her! She started crying and went home a couple hours early. Because of that he had to go see the CCM President Bennett which started a bad relationship between them hahaha. Then that night at the devotional my comp was being super annoying and disruptive so Pres Bennett came to our dorm to talk to him and I've never seen someone flip out so hard! After Elder McCallson got back in our room he started yelling the F word like a million times and started punching the wall! This guy is freaking insane!!! I can't believe I have another 3 1/2 weeks with him but honestly I'm really surprised he hasn't gone home yet. At least he's not going to my mission though. Pretty much the rest of my district is going to Villahermosa with me and they're all dope! I've gotten way tight with this one guy Elder Stewart and he's a vaquero from Alamo, Nevada and is the funniest guy hahaha he's told me some of his stories and I think he would've fit just fine in the Tropics hahahah.
Other than my comp losing his freaking mind it's been pretty good! Everyone thinks I'm a beast at basketball because I dunked in one of the games and everyone went crazy hahaha It's so fun playing ball here cause there are only a couple people who actually know what they're doing and everyone else has like a mental disability.
The Spanish has actually been pretty decent though because I had a lot of time to study when i was sick (which was just a virus that spread like wildfire, like 350 missionaries got sick!) and I had even more time to practice my teaching because my comp knows like 6 words in Spanish so I have to teach the entire thing and I'm not gonna lie, I feel like a native bean. It's been good but I still have a ton to learn. When we went to the Immigration place today for our IDs they were trying to speak Spanish to all of us and it was like I had forgotten everything I had ever learned hahaha I know my Spanish is weak but I'm already ready to get out of this place hahaha!!! The CCM is so boring! Just gotta keep my head up though. AND THROUGH THE LORD I CAN DO ALL THINGS.
Thanks so much for the packages guys! That really has been saving my life this week! Haha. Also, thanks for the quote mom that is a freaking good one! Pres. Hinckley was a dope guy. Hope you have have a good week! Sorry I couldn't email yesterday our p-day was switched to Friday this week but it's back to Thursday next week!
Love and miss you guys!
